Thanksgiving-itis
I am so antsy it’s almost uncontrolable. The office is a ghost town. And my flight isn’t until 4:45pm tomorrow. SO ready for Thanksgiving!!! Thank goodness there’s more KU basketball to look forward to tonight. Other than that, get me out of here!
Things making me happy on this Monday morning...
1. Short work week! 2. Getting to see my two little nieces Wednesday night 3. Getting to spend 4 days with my very pregnant sister and all of my family! 4. My first (of hopefully many) Thanksgiving with WBB! 5. Flight to Omaha with WBB and KMH. (Yes, I’m looking forward to the flight and plane/airport cocktails with those two!) 6. TURKEY!
And lots of other things too but those are topping...
Planning a Trip...
Planning a trip for my 30th in 2012 and thinking Riviera Maya or Cabo.
I guess I should specify that I’m inviting boyf, friends and family. Looking for amazing beach/pool and fun nightlife (even tho our group can make about anywhere fun)! Thinking all-inclusive.
Anyone have any tips, suggestions, resort recos? Or just thoughts in general?
Things that annoy me...
The one Kentucky girl who decided to join her KU friends at the KU bar last night. And not only did she come to our territory for the game, but she was insanely obnoxious, cheering loudly, standing up and rubbing it in our faces. Rude. I hope she stubbed her toe on the way out (or much worse, but I thought I better not go too far with that one…)
I’m sure there are KY bars in Chicago....
Is Running or Marketing your thing? Check this... →
This is awesome.
1. Ryan Hall is insanely fast. And for 26.2 miles. 2. Pretty sweet marketing idea for Asics.
Thanks, ST for sharing!
3 Floyd's →
Was just checking out the 3 Floyd’s website and drooling. Their seasonal releases make me excited. Especially Behemoth that comes out in Jan. Can’t wait.
Binter* is in session!
(More on Binter soon. And I promise no more beer posts… for tonight)
Fact
I hate packing. But I get even more anxious when packing for New York. So much pressure to be fashionable and cute! And yes, I care enough for it to cause anxiety. And I’m ok with that :)
I can’t afford to love New York. But I do.
Best Discovery of the Day?
Starbucks Skinny Peppermint Mocha.
After I saw the nutrition info for the non-fat version, I told myself I could never have again. Ever. Even the non-fat version! (Which is VERY sad because it’s my FAVE!).
But today I discovered and tried the skinny version, and for 1/3 of the cals/fat/etc, abso-frickin-lutely! It’s not quite as good, but still. YUM!

Every winter, when the football team has already made a mess of their season, a little magic happens in november and all of a sudden a rush of hope comes over Kansas fans. Smell that? A nostalgic wiff of popcorn in Allen Fieldhouse. See that? The freshman we were all worried about just pulled a move that reminded us of Keith Langford. Feel that? Kansas...
The Hoods of the O.
My bestie AMP recently bought her first place and moved in…
AMP: PS, I just got new pillows for “your” room downstairs. Maybe I’ll name that room the Pam room. Maybe I will write graffiti on the wall. Prolly.
Me: Why don’t you leave it for now and I’ll graffiti it when I come? Cool?
AMP: K cool. You’re prolly better at the graffiti than I am, since...
Rockchalk!!!
Of course would LOVE to be out at Crossing cheering on my Jayhawks for the first game of the season… but I haven’t left the couch in over 2 days and don’t want to spread my flu bug.
Is there anywhere online I can watch???
