1. My Christmas break was filled with family, friends and lots of spontaneous travel.
Started out in Omaha with most of my family. We ate a lot, drank a lot, shared a lot of amazing gifts, laughed a lot and have stories we can’t share.
Then I took off to Atlanta to visit my brother and his family. Did some babysitting, some video chatting, bestie-visiting and watched my niece open her first gift she could truly be excited about!
While there, randomly decided to head to Nashville to meet WBB for the UNC Bowl Game. I bought a cheap(ish) flight I never should have (Never heard of Pacific Wings? There’s a reason for that), then rented a car to drive for a gorgeous 3.5 hours through the mountains. In Nash, I acted like I was in college, met some new friends, danced (on stage) to some country, cheered for my jayhawks and cheered for a rival.
Then I finally made my way back to Chicago just in time to ring in the new year with my Chicago besties (we missed you KMH) at DOC Wine Bar (followed by late night at Frank’s). Drank too much, stayed out too late, had way too much fun!
I’m couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come in 2011. Here’s to the New Year!
